BNI Life Insurance atau biasa disingkat BNI Life adalah perusahaan asuransi jiwa terkemuka di Indonesia yang merupakan anak perusahaan PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Pada tanggal 28 November 1996, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Persero, Tbk (BNI) dan PT Asuransi Jiwasraya bersama-sama mendirikan sebuah perusahaan asuransi jiwa dengan nama PT Asuransi Jiwa BNI Jiwasraya atau BNI Jiwasraya, yang menyediakan berbagai produk asuransi seperti Asuransi Jiwa, Asuransi Kesehatan, Asuransi Kecelakaan Diri, Anuitas dan Pensiun. Pendirian perusahaan asuransi ini sejalan dengan kebutuhan BNI untuk menyediakan layanan dan jasa keuangan terpadu bagi semua nasabahnya (one-stop financial services).
Seiring dengan dinamika perkembangan BNI Jiwasraya, komposisi kepemilikan sahamnya pun mengalami perubahan. Pada 2004 mayoritas kepemilikan saham berada di tangan BNI, nama perusahaan berubah menjadi PT BNI Life Insurance (BNI Life). Transformasi nama ini diikuti pula dengan perubahan logo serta pengembangan produk-produk yang lebih inovatif, seperti produk asuransi pesangon dan produk gabungan asuransi proteksi dengan investasi (unit link). Maraknya perkembangan perbankan syariah membuka peluang kebutuhan pangsa pasar akan asuransi syariah. BNI Life pun membentuk Unit Syariah pada 19 Mei 2004 dengan tujuan untuk menyediakan dan memasarkan produk-produk asuransi berbasis syariah bagi masyarakat.
Saat ini BNI Life memiliki 4 saluran distribusi yaitu Agency, Bancassurance, Employee Benefits dan Syariah. Agency dijual melalui agen-agen yang memasarkan produk individu. Bancassurance dijual melalui jaringan BNI. Employee Benefits memasarkan produk-produk asuransi kumpulan ke perusahaan-perusahaan. Sedangkan Syariah memasarkan produk asuransi baik individu ataupun kumpulan dengan sistem syariah.
Dengan pengalaman lebih dari 16 tahun, BNI Life terus meneguhkan komitmen untuk tidak hanya memberikan perlindungan secara finansial tetapi juga berupaya memberikan nilai tambah pada setiap sisi kehidupan Anda.
